Protein Pasta with Garlic, Tomatoes & Clams

Is there a way to make clam linguini even better? We think so. We’ve added succulent clams, cream, tomatoes, garlic, and shallots to make a clam linguini inspired recipe for our Protein Pasta.

  1. To prepare sauce, heat olive oil in saucepan. Add bacon and slowly allow the bacon to brown.
  2. Add garlic and shallots. Cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add flour and stir.
  4. Add clam juice and Chardonnay and continue whisking. Bring sauce to a simmer for 2 – 3 minutes.
  5. Add cream and bring to a light boil while whisking.
  6. Add mushrooms, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  7. Lower heat. Add butter and whisk until fully melted.
  8. Add clams and cook for 3 – 5 minutes until clams open.
  9. Add Protein Pasta and tomatoes and toss until all is hot.

To serve:  Place Protein Pasta and clams in a warm bowl and ladle clam sauce on top.

Ingredients:

  • Olive Oil ½ TBSP 
  • Bacon, raw, chopped ¼ cup 
  • Garlic, chopped 2 tsp 
  • Shallots, minced 2 tsp 
  • Flour ½ TBSP 
  • Clam Juice 1 cup 
  • Chardonnay ¼ cup 
  • Heavy Cream 1 Cup 
  • Mushrooms, sliced ½ cup 
  • Salt ½ tsp 
  • Black pepper ½ tsp 
  • Parsley, chopped 1 tsp 
  • Basil, chiffonade 2 tsp 
  • Butter 2 TBSP 
  • Clams in shell 12 each 
  • 1 bag Pescanova Protein Pasta
  • Cherry Tomatoes, halved ¼ cup
